The French man who has admitted to enlisting dozens of strangers to rape his heavily-sedated wife asked for forgiveness from his family on Monday and hailed the courage of his now ex-spouse during his trial. FRANCE 24’s Jean-Emile Jammine speaks to Sarah McGrath, CEO of Women for Women France. She says that Gisèle Pelicot is the “perfect victim, with the perfect evidence”; but despite that, defense lawyers tried to chip away at her credibility, “going almost as far as accusing her of lying”.
